I’ve always been a fan of manga art, it was started when I got addicted watching anime on TV way back on my high school years (though I’m already a fan of Mask Rider Black/Maskman and the likes on my younger days) My day will never be complete without watching Eugene, Jenny and my favorite Vincent on “Ghost Fighter” (YuYu Hakusho) which is being aired daily on primetime slot on Philippine TV, Miyaka on “Fushigi Yugi” every Friday and my weekend treat is watching the awesome adventure of Omi,Ken,Yohji and Aya in “Knight Hunter” playing as flower sellers but actually assassins by night.
Shohei Otomo’s art reminds me of my childhood…however his Manga Art are far different from those illustrations I am watching in my favorite anime films. His works are playful with modern twist…naughty but brilliant…a fusion of fun,wit and his personal views about Japan
Japanese artist Shohei Otomo combines classic and traditional Japanese art with some modern day crazy.
